At the 2026 InfoComm event, Bettear unveiled a host of new devices that broaden its Auracast solutions. Now, one of them is an award winner.
The Bettear Caster X is an update to the existing Caster and can transmit up to six Auracast streams from a single transmitter. This opens the door for venues to offer people options.
Visitors could hear the original audio streamed directly to compatible hearing aids, headphones, ear buds, or cochlear implants. Alternatively, they could choose an audio description, a translation into another language, a dialogue-only or a music-only soundtrack or, if attending a sporting fixture, home and away commentaries.
Bettear is the first company to offer this. Previously, dual streams or multiple transmitters were needed.
Introducing it, Bettear notes: “For the first time, a single Auracast transmitter can serve multilingual venues – eliminating the cost and complexity of deploying separate devices for each language channel. Additionally, it features an integrated internal antenna with options for external, directional antennas to achieve optimised RF control, invisible installation, and localised precision coverage.”
The Caster X also features a directional antenna, so the transmitter can be focused on a specific area, making it easier to deliver a stronger signal for people to pick up.
These features have attracted attention from visitors to InfoComm, which took place in Las Vegas between June 16 and 19. The event is described as “the world’s most vital pro AV show” and attracts thousands of visitors across its four-day run.
A lot of new technology was showcased at the event, covering the entire gamut of audio-visual equipment. The Best In Show awards have been judged by a panel of industry experts, engineers, and AV professionals. They recognise innovation, technical excellence, value, and real-world impact.
In a post on social media, Bettear noted: “What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that CASTER X was designed to solve a challenge that affects millions of people every day: delivering clear, accessible, and personalised audio directly to users through the devices they already carry.
“As Auracast adoption accelerates worldwide, CASTER X is helping venues, enterprises, transportation hubs, educational institutions, and public spaces prepare for the future of audio accessibility and engagement.
“A huge thank you to our customers, partners, and the incredible Bettear team whose passion and dedication made this possible.”
