The installation of Auracast systems is rapidly gaining momentum, and we love to see it. From big theatres to public transport settings, a sea change is coming in assistive listening as people realise the potential of Bluetooth LE Audio technology.
But because it’s new, system designers and integrators understandably need a helping hand in complex, facility-wide environments.
To address the technical challenges of scaling this technology, Williams AV has announced a live interactive masterclass focused entirely on large-scale network deployments. It takes place on Wednesday, 24 June, online, and places can be reserved now.
The hour-long session is designed to provide practical insights for AV professionals designing audio systems for assistive listening, interpretation, or entertainment in venues with more than 500 seats or complex multi-zone layouts. This includes large public spaces like educational campuses, transport hubs, convention centres, theatres, and houses of worship.
Participants will explore infrastructure planning, coverage mapping, multi-transmitter coordination, and strategies for ensuring seamless coverage and reliability in complex environments.
It starts with a 45-minute panel discussion followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer forum.
The panel of experts brings together key figures from the technology’s core development and real-world integration. They include Chuck Sabin, who oversees market development and research at the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group). Joining Chuck from Williams Sound, LLC are Ricardo Ehramjian, AV Technical Solutions Team Lead, and Tony M. Braun, VP of Global Sales and Marketing. The panel is completed by Jan Alsaker Johannessen, a Project Manager at Nordlo Group who brings more than 15 years of experience in audiovisual technology, IT infrastructure, and networking.
They will look at which markets are driving large-scale adoption and how the Williams AV Infinium platform supports scalable deployments. They will also outline how multi-space setups differ from basic single-room installations and how to align the technology with venue IT requirements.
When is the large scale Auracast deployment masterclass taking place and how can you reserve a place?
The online masterclass is scheduled for Wednesday, 24 June 2026. The session will broadcast at 10am in New York, 7am in Los Angeles, 3pm in London, 4pm in Paris, and 10pm in Singapore. For attendees joining from Sydney, the broadcast will air at midnight on Thursday, 25 June.
System designers, AV integrators, and venue managers are all invited to attend the event, which runs on the Microsoft Teams platform.
