The first speaker has been announced for this year’s EUHA conference, which takes place in Hanover this October.
This is a celebratory year for the International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians, as it marks the event’s 70th anniversary. It is the largest of its kind, and brings together audiologists, hearing technicians, hearing aid companies and hearing technology companies for three days of learning, discussion, workshops, and talks.
It also hosts one of the largest exhibitions showcasing the very latest innovations, with more than 150 exhibitors from 19 countries expected to attend.
It takes place in Hanover Messe from Wednesday, 14 October, through to Friday, 16 October. The programme includes AI Day on the Friday, aiming to demonstrate how hearing care practices can integrate artificial intelligence into their day-to-day work in a practical way.
Last year’s Congress saw every session take advantage of Auracast: there were two streams. The presenter would speak in either German or English, and simultaneous translation was available. And with hearing aid companies demonstrating their commitment to Auracast, it should come as little surprise that the exhibition area was teaming with Auracasts to tap into.
This year’s partner country is the Netherlands, and this will be reflected across the event, including Dutch lecturers and a party on the Thursday evening.

EUHA (the European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians) is keeping the full programme under wraps for now, but has revealed that German thought-leader Dr Peter Kreuz will be the keynote speaker. He specialises in asking not ‘how do you do it’, but ‘how else could it be done?’
In his own words: “Business can be exciting, vibrant, and full of energy—if we make it so. We’re not here to tick off pre-made to-do lists. We don’t have to be great to make a difference. But we do have to take action to become great. Everyone has a choice: to be the star or just an extra in their own job.”
Manager Magazine wrote of him: “He makes a vivid and cheeky plea to think differently, to bring courage, fun and passion back into everyday business life”.
He is a SPIEGEL bestselling author and former marketing professor. He will be asking a question that resonates with organisations for over 20 years: Which rules still help us – and which ones have long since held us back?
EUHA said in a social media post announcing his keynote address: “Look forward to inspiring ideas on new ways of thinking, bold decisions and challenging the status quo.
“(It will be) an exciting start to the congress – for everyone who wants to play an active role in shaping the future of hearing care.”
