The audiologists of tomorrow are being invited to apply for a career springboard, thanks to EUHA – the European Union of Hearing Aid Acousticians.
A sponsorship award is being offered, enabling attendees to present research findings and forge contacts at the October event in Hanover.
EUHA says that many of the talented young researchers who have received the award now hold senior positions at universities or research institutes, run successful companies, serve on specialist committees or are actively shaping the future of hearing care.
Eva Keil-Becker, the chair of the EUHA Sponsorship Award jury and EUHA vice-president, is looking forward to seeing who enters.
“With the EUHA Sponsorship Award, we aim to support the next generation of professionals in the sector and offer young researchers a platform to present their practice-oriented research and studies to a broad specialist audience,” she said.
To promote the next generation of acousticians, the EUHA honours outstanding, industry-relevant diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s theses completed within the last 24 months.
The work must support the rehabilitation of losses in the auditory-communicative system, demonstrate developmental potential, and provide a practical benefit to the hearing aid industry.
The call for entries for the 2026 EUHA Sponsorship Award is open until 15 August 2026, offering early-career researchers in hearing care a major industry accolade. Entries may be submitted in the fields of audiology, hearing aid fitting, and user benefits, and the jury emphasises that the work must have a practical benefit for the hearing aid industry. Students at a university or university of applied sciences who have completed their studies within the last 24 months can apply.
This marks the 16th time the Europäische Union der Hörakustiker has made the awards.
Winners receive prize money of between €1,000 and €3,000 and will present their work at the EUHA Congress in Hannover, the world’s largest event in the hearing care industry.
The awards ceremony takes place on the first day of the congress as part of the Knowledge Symposium on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. Winning projects also gain visibility through publication on the EUHA website.
Applicants do not need to be hearing care professionals.
