Three new hearing aids have been launched by Rexton, and with them comes Bluetooth LE Audio.
The company, part of WSA, prides itself on creating life-proof hearing aids that can work reliably in the harshest environments, be it for work, home life, leisure and exercise, and all weathers.
The three new aids are Reach B-Li P, Reach B-Li HP, and Reach Custom CIC-Li.
The company says that the Reach B-Li P and Reach B-Li HP are designed to give users their hearing superpowers back, partly in thanks to its long battery life: the HP variant is said to offer 73 hours worth on a single charge – that is nearly three days – while the P variant is a still impressive 35 hours.
Both models include Bluetooth LE (Low Energy), as well as ASHA (Android) and Made for iPhone connectivity, making it straightforward to stream audio from mobile devices.
Rexton hasn’t specified whether this includes Auracast. In its product brochure it writes: “LE Audio facilitates wireless audio streaming with minimal power usage, ensuring high-quality sound transmission. This capability enables easy connection to compatible devices, enhancing communication and audio streaming in hearing aids”.
The third hearing aid is the Reach Custom CIC-Li: Rexton first rechargeable Completely-in-Canal custom hearing aid, designed to be almost invisible when worn. Its Voice-Stabiliser technology and OneMic Directionality support are said to help with speech understanding.
Announcing the range, Fabian Schmitz, global head of Rexton Brand, said the launch marked an important step for the company and also the people who wear their aids. Each new model has been developed with practicality, reliability, and simplicity of use in mind, he said.
“With the launch of Reach B-Li P and Reach B-Li HP, we are strengthening the platform for users with severe to profound hearing loss, offering powerful rechargeable solutions with exceptional battery runtime.
“The addition of Reach Custom CIC-Li further broadens the platform with an almost invisible custom option, extending our offering to users who value discretion and comfort alongside reliable performance.”
Rexton says that its Bluetooth Classic enables seamless connection of the hearing aids with a wide range of Bluetooth devices, including Android and iOS smartphones, laptops and some TVs.
