The American Academy of Audiology (AAA) conference is taking place in Texas this week, and with it comes a chance for people to discover Auracast for themselves.
The three-day event runs until Friday, April 24, and includes seminars, discussions, and an Expo.
Among those exhibiting is the US-based hearing aid manufacturer Starkey. A platinum sponsor for the event, it has set up shop in Booth 349 and is inviting people to drop by and experience Auracast for themselves.
Last autumn, it released the Omega AI hearing aid, a successor to the Edge AI.
This includes Auracast as standard, and also intelligent sound processing for seamless connectivity and meaningful health insights. Starkey says the Omega AI represents the next evolution in hearing technology.
Also in its booth, there will be immersive, interactive demonstrations that allow visitors to explore the full capabilities of Starkey’s Omega AI platform. The company cites Auracast as one of its highlights, along with the health and wellness features, saying that these innovations reflect Starkey’s holistic approach to hearing technology, where connectivity, performance, and patient well-being come together to elevate everyday experiences.
In addition to its booth experience, Starkey will contribute to AAA’s educational programming through sessions led by its Chief Hearing Health Officer, Dave Fabrey, and Chief Audiology Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Strategy, Sara Burdak.
These sessions will focus on practical applications of AI in hearing care, emerging research, and strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
Starkey supports the next generation of audiology
Starkey says it is proud to be the largest sponsor of the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) at the AAA conference, expanding its support this year to 200 audiology students. The company says it is committed to developing future leaders in hearing healthcare by providing access to education, networking, and professional growth opportunities.
Throughout AAA, Starkey will reinforce a clear message: hearing professionals should ask more from their hearing technology. From greater intelligence and adaptability to integrated health insights, today’s solutions should go beyond amplification to deliver meaningful, measurable impact for patients.
