ReSound and Bettear have been recognised for their use of Auracast Bluetooth technology at the 2025 Hearing Technology Innovator Awards.
The awards, organised by Hearing Health & Technology Matters, celebrate innovation across hearing aids, implants, software, and assistive technology. This year’s winners were recognised at the Academy of Doctors of Audiology’s annual conference, Audacity 2025.
Among the winners, ReSound’s latest hearing aids stood out for their Auracast streaming capabilities.
The ReSound Vivia was named best receiver-in-canal (RIC) device, while the ReSound Enzo IA won in the behind-the-ear (BTE) category.
Both devices support Auracast, a Bluetooth technology that allows users to connect directly to public broadcasts, group audio, and shared sound sources.
Assistive listening provider Bettear also won recognition for its streaming solutions.
Bettear uses Auracast to deliver real-time, venue-based audio directly to compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants, and earbuds. This approach is designed to improve accessibility in theatres, museums, and public spaces.
Auracast also featured in the awards for mobile applications.
The Beltone HearMax and ReSound Smart 3D apps were highlighted for their ability to connect hearing aids to Auracast broadcasts, giving users control over sound sources and improving everyday listening experiences.
Andrew Bellavia, founder of AuraFuturity was one of this year’s judges.
Since the launch of the Innovator Awards in 2020, the programme has contributed more than £26,177 ($35,000) to hearing-related charities, adding a community focus alongside its recognition of technological progress.
The awards demonstrate the growing role of Auracast across the hearing technology sector, and we hope that next year’s awards will feature even more Auracast-enabled products.
