Starkey demonstrated some of the latest hearing health technology, including Auracast, at the Joint Defence Veterans Audiology Conference (JDVAC).

The company says its attendance reinforced its commitment to veterans’ hearing health and to the professionals who care for them.

As the only American-owned hearing aid manufacturer, Starkey says it is focused on advancing technology tailored to the needs of active-duty service members and veterans.

The company’s presence at the conference highlighted ongoing partnerships with audiologists serving the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DOD).

Central to the showcase was Omega AI, Starkey’s flagship technology which includes Auracast as standard. This platform provides enhanced sound processing and speech understanding, allowing clinicians to offer more personalised care.

A significant feature of the exhibition was the integration of Auracast.

This Bluetooth LE Audio technology enables veterans to access broadcast audio directly in public spaces such as airports, theaters, and places of worship.

By incorporating Auracast, Starkey aims to help veterans stay connected in diverse environments where traditional audio systems often fall short.

Starkey also displayed its latest custom hearing technology, specifically its fifth-generation custom rechargeable devices. These precision-fit solutions are designed for durability and all-day comfort, offering discreet options that meet the high reliability standards of the veteran community.

LTC Dustin Snare, Managing Director of Government Services at Starkey, said: “Our Veterans deserve the very best in hearing healthcare. JDVAC provides an important opportunity to connect with the audiologists serving those who have served our country.

“We are proud to stand alongside them with innovations that support clinical excellence and help Veterans stay connected to the people and moments that matter most.”

Beyond the conference floor, the company is engaging with clinicians through a National Symposium in Orlando. This event offers hands-on training for hearing professionals regarding the latest advancements in AI-driven hearing solutions.
