We have already written about how the Bluetooth SIG is calling on people to become an Auracast Advocate, and to help spread the word it is organising a webinar this autumn.

The aim is to give people tools and skills to assist them as they tell others about the benefits and potential of Auracast.

That includes helping individual users understand how the exciting new technology can transform their lives and how easy it is to implement it. That includes understanding how Auracast Assistants can work, and that they merely act as a conduit to the Auracast people are tuning in to – the sound goes directly from the Auracaster to the listening device, which improves quality of the signal, the latency (speed at which the Auracast is picked up) and being able to control the volume.

When is the Auracast Advocate webinar taking place?

Bluetooth SIG is organising a webinar it is calling How To Successfully Advocate For Auracast Broadcast Audio In Public Locations.

The information blurb for the webinar states: “Direct-to-ear audio delivers clearer, more immersive sound, allowing everyone, regardless of hearing ability, to fully engage in any location.

“To advance audio accessibility, the Bluetooth SIG is equipping local advocates with the knowledge and tools to introduce Auracast broadcast audio where it can make the most impact.

“Join Avi Negrin, Senior Technical Marketing Manager, to discover the resources available to advocates and learn how to help locations evaluate whether Auracast is the right solution for inclusive audio experiences.”

The webinar is to take place on Wednesday, September 17, at 8am PDT – that’s 4pm in BST.

It’s free to sign up to and will take place on Zoom.

For those who have need for subtitles/captions in the calls, Zoom has an automatic captioning facility which can easily be turned on at the push of a button.
