US-based Starkey has been named a 2026 manufacturing top workplace and received eight culture excellence awards, marking a significant year for the hearing instrument manufacturer.
The honours come as the company continues to make strides with its artificial intelligence and accessible audio systems, following the successful global launch of its flagship Omega AI hearing aid last autumn. It is also expanding its connectivity features, including the introduction of a new app-based Auracast Assistant.
The recognition is based on confidential employee feedback gathered by Energage, which measured high-performance indicators such as leadership and employee well-being.
The culture excellence awards recognise Starkey achievements across the following categories: innovation, leadership, professional development, purpose and values, work-life flexibility, appreciation, compensation and benefits, and employee well-being.
Results are calculated from employee responses to research-backed workplace experience themes, which have been proven indicators of high-performing organisations since the program began in 2006.
“A strong culture of caring is the foundation of everything we do at Starkey,” said Jessica Sawalich, chief people officer and executive vice president of culture at Starkey.
“It lives in the way our teams care for one another and show up in meaningful ways every day. When people feel valued and supported, they are more driven to reach their highest potential and feel empowered to make real impact.”
Starkey says its recognition as a manufacturing top workplace highlights its ability to combine ground-breaking innovation with a deeply human approach to business. It adds that by investing in its people through professional development, comprehensive benefits, and a strong sense of purpose, Starkey continues to cultivate a culture of excellence that drives both employee engagement and organisational success.
“Innovation at Starkey means setting the standard for what hearing technology can achieve,” said Brandon Sawalich, president and CEO of Starkey.
“Our leadership in AI, sound quality, and health and wellness capabilities is grounded in decades of experience and continues to drive the future of hearing healthcare.”
Starkey says it is driven by its commitment to serve patients and improve lives, and advancing hearing technology while fostering an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired.
