Philips has confirmed it will introduce Auracast to its 2026 television range, which is due to launch this summer.

The electronics company is also investigating whether it can offer a firmware update to existing sets to enable Auracast.

To utilise the Bluetooth LE Audio standard, televisions need to support at least the Bluetooth 5.2 codec, so not every recent set can be upgraded. Indeed, we have seen specs for some manufacturers’ 2026 models that only include Bluetooth 5.0 chips, meaning the only way to implement Auracast is to add a streamer to the sets, such as the ReSound TV Streamer+.

Which Philips TVs released in 2026 have Auracast?

Philips is implementing Auracast in a select range this year, and not all models will be available in every country. Not all models will be released simultaneously.

The model list is: OLED951, OLED911, OLED811, OLED761, MLED981, PUS9001, PUS8701, PUS8601, PUS8501, PUS8001, and PUS7801. Any PUS model number below 7801 is NOT Auracast enabled.

Philips says the OLED800 series is a mid-range OLED TV that delivers PQ performance typically seen in high-end OLED sets. The OLED811 has a combination of new, higher-output OLED_EX panels, Dolby Vision 2 MAX compatibility, 10th Gen P5 AI processing and immersive Ambilight technology.

The 55in model is released in June, while 42in, 48in, and 65in screen sizes arrive in August, and the 77in comes in September.

The OLED761

The Philips OLED700 series boasts excellent picture quality, good sound performance and the unique immersive viewing of Ambilight, at a highly competitive price.

The 55in OLED761 arrives in June, 65in in August, and the largest size, the 77in, will be on sale from October.

The new MLED981 is the latest set in The Xtra series and the first Philips TV to feature RGB Mini-LED technology. Availabe in an 85in screen size, it will arrive in stores from October.

The PQS9001

The PQS9001 is the latest in Philips ‘The One’ concept: a TV with the performance and key features of a high-end set but at a competitive mid-range price. The PQS9001 QLED series will launch in June in 43in, 50in, 55in, 65in and 75in screen sizes, with the 85in and 100in models following in October.

Switching to Titan OS Smart TV

Philips is moving to the Titan OS Smart TV platform, one of the reasons why it can start to offer Auracast. It includes access to all of the major content providers such as Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video – with Apple TV due to be available from Spring 2026. TitanOS is also compatible with Google Assistant, ‘Works with Alexa’, Apple AirPlay 2 and Control 4.

The company follows Samsung, LG, and Panasonic, which released Auracast on some of their 2024 or 2025 models.

A Philips spokesperson confirmed the company’s commitment to Auracast.

“Philips TV has a long and continuous history of including new technologies in our TVs in support of our visually or hearing-impaired customers to ensure that they can enjoy and share the full performance benefits of our products,” they told Aurahear.com

“Our priority is to ensure that we can offer any such technology over a wide range of Philips TVs at different price points, to ensure that compatible products are genuinely available and that the system can be personalised and is both easy to access and use.

“We believe that Auracast – and the Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) codec – positively answers all of those requirements, which, in combination with our range-wide commitment to the TitanOS Smart TV platform, will allow Philips TV to include the Auracast feature on all 2026 TVs from the PUS7801 model upwards – representing the majority of the DLED range and all of the 2026 OLED models.”

As to the possibility of creating a firmware update to enable Auracast in older televisions, the spokesperson added: “We are currently evaluating whether existing TitanOS-equipped Philips TVs can be updated to include Auracast.”
