Audio specialists Marshall has announced two new speakers, and they both come with Auracast as standard.
For more than 60 years, the company has helped musicians amplify their music, ensuring it can be heard by music fans worldwide. Its range includes amps, speakers, headphones, and drums.
The new additions are the Acton IV and the Stanmore IV speakers. Marshall is promising room-filling sound, integrated Auracast, and a refreshed design that is still recognisably Marshall.
Among the enhancements are upgraded tweeters and waveguides that can deliver a wider, more evenly dispersed and expansive soundstage. A redesigned bass port improves airflow and bottom-placed cables allow placement flush against the wall.
A Dynamic Loudness system works to ensure the best possible detail in the audio output, with clarity, richness and warmth at low levels.
The speakers include the ability to easily connect to other devices, including Auracast.
Its inputs include RCA and AUX, so it can easily connect to a record player or other audio equipment. Marshall says that, no matter the source, each speaker is precisely tuned by in-house acoustic engineers to deliver a sound with presence that demands attention.
While many people will control the speakers via its control panel, an app can offer customisation tools which allow for optimisation.
This will be helpful for using Auracast. Marshall says that music can be synced across multiple speakers, helped by a new streaming hub called Heddon. This, they add, makes it simple to create a seamless multi-speaker listening set-up.
Simona Berbec, Product Manager at Marshall Group, is excited about the launch.
“Since first launching in 2012, Marshall’s home speakers have evolved while remaining true to our heritage,” they said.
“These always-in-place speakers form the foundation of any home setup, with Acton and Stanmore chosen time and again for their iconic design, premium build quality, rich, powerful sound, and intuitive tactile controls.
“With our fourth generation, the focus has been on protecting and strengthening these core qualities, building on what people love rather than reinventing it.”
